Dr. John Peabody is a graduate of Stanford University, UCSF, the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, and RAND Graduate School. For 17 years, he has been involved in multidisciplinary approaches to address health policy reform for poor populations in developing countries. Dr. Peabody is Deputy Director of the Institute for Global Health and an attending physician at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in San Francisco. He has developed a method for accurately and inexpensively assessing the quality of clinical care in large population base studies. Dr. Peabody has received funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), World Bank, World Health Organization (WHO), various governments, and foundations.
